I haven't read enough (or at least not enough I remember clearly) by him to have favorites, but I remember liking the more fantastic/surreal horror ("1408", a lot of the Dark Tower books, parts of Rose Madder come to mind) over the body horror, just because the surreal stuff scares me less. ("This wasn't as effective, I enjoyed it!" But the Dark Tower books had a lot going on besides scaring me, and Rose Madder overall was as scary as it should be, but at least ended less scary?) In related news, I like escapism! and don't usually seek out horror -- I've mostly read King on recs from friends/while shelving his books on slow days at the library where I used to volunteer.

I do have a least favorite, but "why do alien ass weasels happen to any people" is still...a question.
