...You could actually WEAR that somewhere. Very elegant and the color is perfect for you.

Very nice. Isn't the stereotype that bridesmaid dresses are horrendous? If so, this definitely is an exception.

Looks good to me. I love the color.

That is lovely, and unlike ninety percent of bridesmaid's dresses would actually be wearable to other occasions.

I have to second everyone else and say it's a great color for you. Lovely dress!

Concur that the color is quite nice, and seems slightly shimmery. How's the panty-line? Any hilarious undergarments (or lack thereof)?

Good question. I didn't look at that. I'm wearing it without a bra in that photo, and considering doing so for the actual wedding- the dress provides its own support, and isn't sheer enough that I think you can tell.

I asked not because of bra -- it seems like a dress you can go braless in -- but because I think I can see your bellybutton. You might try it on with high-waisted pantyhose (and no underpants) and see if there's a line at the top of the pantyhose. My experience is that most fitted dresses have a little bit of generosity at the top of the waist, so the line might not show; and having something taut over your bellybutton means the dip I'm seeing in the photo -- probably correlating to the aforementioned shimmer of the fabric -- will be less noticeable.

Now I promise to stop being your elderly Aunt Florence. Here, have a safety pin. You never know when you might need it!!

Ahem. Yes, now that Veejane mentions it, it does look like the bellybutton is visible...

Veejane's advice is good, and I would add that you might want to have someone take several quick photos of you in the dress with a bright flash camera at a variety of angles. The dress might be okay in normal light, but you want to make sure that nothing untoward will show in the wedding photographs either.

A nice flesh-toned slip could solve a lot of concerns...
