I totally failed to do this last year, due to, if I recall correctly, a stalker making the prospect of posting a source of dread rather than enjoyment. Sorry, people whose questions I never answered! You can ask them again if you remember what they were.

I am posting this in the hope that 1) I will actually answer them this go-round, 2) ensuing conversations will remind me that the internet includes friends and good conversation as well as stalkers and threats.

I'm putting this up for January, as I need to be working on deadlines and my Yuletide story (have not yet started reviewing canon; BEARS) rather than LJ posts. Propose a topic for a day, and I will attempt to write at least one paragraph about it.

lizardable manga/anime recs

Our library has a bunch but I don't even know where to start! ^_^ I'm hoping that with a rec list I can hit up the library system. She loves fantasy adventure, dragons, and creepy things. With few exceptions I've never been able to get her interested in non-cracky science fiction.

Things she's liked anime/manga-wise: Eyeshield 21, Hikaru no Go, Sword Art Online (the anime), Amulet (comic not manga), Visions of Escaflowne, you know all about her Gundam Wing childhood fixation, etc.

Any new/new to you Gay YA you've read in the last couple of years and want to talk about? Umm... the 15th?
sholio: Cocoa in red cup with cinnamon stick (Christmas cocoa)

This might be too similar to [personal profile] the_rck's question, but after reading Stranger (which I really enjoyed, btw, and look forward to more books with those characters!) I am really curious about the actual mechanics of the collaborative writing process between you and your co-author -- if you divided up the POVs between you or took turns, how you handled the outlining, etc.

If there's too much overlap between those two questions, then talk about your first Yuletide -- how did you get involved, what made you decide to write for it, and how did it go?

And let's do the 4th if no one else has that day yet!

12th or any day convenient for you: Tell us more about narrative therapy! Are there good resources for learning the techniques?

Oooh let's see. What was the book you liked best last year? (or this year, since it's nearly over) 31st!
skygiants: Rebecca from Fullmetal Alchemist waving and smirking (o hai)

Last year you asked me, iirc, for five most horrifying plot twists, so I think it's fair that it's your turn this time! For the 14th.

Favourite narrative tropes or AUs: things IN SPACE? hurt/comfort? magic? angsty lovers? magical angsty lesbian lovers IN SPACE? something completely different?

For December 16th. :)
musesfool: kara cutting her hair (strangle the stars)

What do you enjoy about post-apocalyptic stories? What would you like to never see again and what would be something you'd like to see more of in them?

Oh, and January 19.
