A Quokka Dreeds its Weird

I actually liked the second half of Dreamcatcher a lot - it's almost like it morphs into a different book. Basically the first half is shitweasels, the second half is the surviving protagonists having to deal with the fact that they're now telepathically linked while being on the run with the government, aliens, and the weather trying to kill them. I mean, I'm still not saying it was necessarily a good book, but it turned into a pretty fun book once it got past the shitweasels and moved on to telepathic alien body snatchers.
