I love Ash - it’s doing so many things and they’re all so incredible. BUT I have had such mixed experiences with her other books. I really liked A Hawk in Silver and Golden Witchbreed, but I didn’t like the Witchbreed sequel and I really hated Grunts (it put me off all of her books until I got a very trustworthy rec for Ash).Didn’t like the White Crow books and have tried to read 1610 three times now and each time I get less far in. Ilario was fun, but annoyed me in parts.
