I have arranged the photos below the cut to represent my experience walking through the town, entering the gardens, now looking at the entire view, now leaning in to inspect a single flower.

Nice photos. The gardens are still beautiful.

Beautiful. Thanks for the pictures.

http://pics.livejournal.com/rachelmanija/pic/000cpygf/ is a salpiglossis, which I adore. No other flower looks so much like a cathedral window.

I wish I knew what the pink trailing plant in the water is! Some kind of lycophyte maybe.

Probably Chinese lantern plant. People who aren't me can likely eat the tomatoey fruit if they want. (To me the flavor contains a very strong note of whatever tastes awful in bell peppers.)

I don't know its botanical name, but I know it as jack-o'-lantern plant. You might search under that.

I think your first photo of the water lilies is just as striking as his paintings. I actually gasped when I saw it.

Lovely, all of it.

This is my experience looking at your photos:

Green, green, green, green, pretty flower, pretty flower, berries, flowers, berries, flowers, ZOMG WATER LILIES.

Gorgeous. I love how green the first few photos are.

Oh, that's glorious and has a really strong narrative pull too. Thank you.
