It was a fast-jet whose weapons system I was working on, really can't recall why it was an issue, but certainly not due to any propeller. There are still gun-armed, propeller-driven aircraft about, generally armed trainers used for counter-insurgency, but I can't think of any that actually fire through the propeller still, they all mount the guns in/under the wings.
