Tokyopop job
I have been hired to adapt a novel for Tokyopop's new "Pop Fiction" line. I will be given a rough (ie, probably somewhat Babelfishy) English translation from the original Japanese text, and will then adapt it into fluent English.
I can't say what the novel is until it's officially announced, which won't be for several months. (I'd never heard of it or its author.) It is not based on a manga.
If any of you applied for the same job and were given the same text to work with that I was, it's not that novel. I suggest that any of you who haven't yet turned in your applications finish them and do so, as there are other books in the pipeline.
I look forward to what I expect will be a most entertaining project.
