Generic endings

Anime: Confusing stuff happens, then there's an apocalypse and everyone dies, including the world and possibly the universe. Only it's OK, because everything will be reborn or reincarnated or transcend. Or something.

Romance: She's given up her entire existence and everything she's ever believed in, he's a exiled werewolf with PTSD and a crippled paw, and they've yet to have a single conversation where they just chit-chat about stuff. But they love each other and they're going to get married/make their sham marriage a true one, so it's OK.

Young adult novel: The teenage hero learns that mentally ill/dying/unpopular people will always stay mentally ill/dying/unpopular no matter what you do to try to change that, that she will always be quadriplegic/asthmatic/haunted by memories of her rape/brother's suicide/dead friend, and that her parents are never going to get back together. Also, her dog dies. But her begonia finally sent out a single shoot of green, so it's OK: life goes on. Except for her dog.
