Because I started to leave you a comment, then couldn't post it, and copied it so I wouldn't have to type it out again, I'm just going to say here: I highly highly highly recommend Riding Rockets. I picked it up because in Packing for Mars, she says something like, "if you read ONLY ONE astronaut memoir, it should definitely be Riding Rockets," and then I liked it so much I bought a copy for my father, who liked it so much he bought a copy for a friend. It's both fascinating and hilarious.
