I’m about 8 chapters into Southern Bookclub and liking it significantly more than Best Friend, which I did enjoy but thought was too long and, as you say, leaving a lot of things unsettled. It’s interesting seeing Grady develop as a writer (I started with Horrostor, which I wouldn’t bother to reread).
