It's a very mature thing to do to a series, and what it taught me at the age of seven or eight was that books can be like your real family where sometimes some of the grown-ups tell the story they want it to be and not the real truth.
I think it was supposed to be the opposite, I think it was supposed to be an insight into how sometimes people in your real life will do that, but with the family I had I already knew, so it was useful to me as a quite young writer.
