It's not you. The web gateway is down -- as in completely crashed. And won't be rebuilt. You can still get in by a newsreader, but ...

The official announcement will be out in a couple days, but word is spreading. Some time around mid-May, Nic's shutting off the lights at Dueling Modems. The equipment is worn out, and we're losing our hosting, and the PTB are tired of the thing.

Ah, well.

Oh, what a shame. Is anyone talking about transferring it to another server?

I feel especially bad because I'm one of the people who ended up gravitating here, but DM was also really cool. And I don't think that, say, Lois or Greg would find it congenial here, or they'd be here already. (Well, I know Lois is dead-set against it.)

Nic and Andy have neither the funds nor the time to rebuild the server elsewhere. It's bye-bye time.

Lois will be on SFF.net, and I think Greg will be too -- or maybe he'll get back to posting in his LJ. Or revive his Blogspot thang.
