Because at some point--maybe twice, Zoku and then one of our guys says something about "it's been three years". It happens twice--I'd have to watch them all again to peg it, but that did catch my attention. (I saw the eps out of order, and thought there was a whole year in there that didn't exist, when I heard it.)
