Avalon's Willow (http://seeking-avalon.blogspot.com/2010/02/not-percy-jackson.html) has the definitive takedown. For me, the best part of the book-- by far-- is Percy's voice, which is very distinctive, humble, and funny. (Three things which were not noticeable in the movie.)
