I would have enjoyed this book so much more if someone had put a successful involuntary psychiatric hold on Alec! (I am very much not fond of his impulse disorder NOS) Possibly I would have even finished it rather than bailing two chapters before the end - if a therapist does show up, please feel free to spoil me.
