I am clearly the only person sitting here writing (aka working) on this lovely sunny Sunday. Also, I bought some milk, but then I inexplicably left it sitting on the coffee table instead of putting it in the refrigerator, and I think it went bad.

However, I did finish the gazillionth rewrite of the first chapter of "Butterfly Kick." Normally I don't advocate endlessly rewriting chapter one before moving on, but there are some special circumstances at work in this particular case-- it's a comic, so I wanted to get the page numbers more-or-less as they'll be because that influences the next chapter. (Even numbers face odd numbers, and are the only way you can have two-page spreads.) It's now still too long, but I can't figure out how to shorten it, and at least now it's less cluttered and better-structured. Anyway, I'm moving ahead now.

But not RIGHT now. RIGHT now, I'm taking my take-out cheddar-and-bacon flatbread thingie I bought yesterday at Clementine and thank goodness did not leave on the coffee table all night, and eating it in the remaining sunlight while reading something.

Working away. (But then I loathe and despise sunshine. If it were cloudy and drizzly, now, I'd wrench ten minutes from slog for a walk...instead, my brief break is to catch up here.)

Not working, though I did get a bit in this morning -- my parents are visiting, and we took them down to the folk music festival for the afternoon.
