Dick Cheney shot someone!

I immediately pictured him going berserk with a semiautomatic in the Oval Office when I read the headline, but sadly, the actual story is less dramatic:

"Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good."

Still, how many countries in the last fifty years have ever had one of their presidents/vice presidents/prime ministers shoot someone while serving in office? Truly America is the most gun-crazy second-most sure-fire producer of excellent headlines, after Japan greatest country in the world!

Hee!

I am *terribly* impressed. But how can Harry be in the line of fire and Cheney not see him?

My first question actually was if the lawyer had changed his politics lately?

By a) Harry not announcing his presence as he returned to the group and b) Dick turning to follow fleeing quail with his gun.

I still don't get it - if you are following the quail with your gun, surely you can see a human between the gun and the quail?

By focusing on the moving target. It really is a typical stupid hunting accident.

Ok. I don't know anything about hunting so I'll take your word for it. :)
