Speaker's fees

If anyone here charges to speak at colleges and so forth, can you tell me how much you charge?

Please e-mail if you prefer, at Rphoenix2@hotmail.com.

We charge a minimum of $100 to do an outreach, but that includes a couple of grad students and a bunch of live bugs.

Seminar speakers where I work get expenses and honorariums of $150-300. They get expenses and $500 for named annual lectures.

Are you an NWU or Author's Guild member? I suspect someone in one of their offices could help you with a range of numbers. It depends on the audience (large or small?), the length of the talk, the subject, the speaker's fame, and mostly on the organization's ability to pay.

For seminars by academics, a range of $100 (they don't call it an "honorarium" because it's lucrative) to $500 is about right and expenses are usually included.

I've see around $400, but it is usually associated with some specific research, rather than speaking to the college at large.

Ah yes, expenses are paid as well.
