Top Chef: The One Where They Make Boxed Lunches For the Cops

Oh, that was sweet, so sweet.

I could see Andrew's expulsion coming because there was so much footage of him being smug and arrogant and gloating over what a genius he was and how much everyone else sucked, but even so, it was a great moment to see him go. His ranting about how nutritious his gross ground-parsnip rolls were reminded me of a mad scientist advertising food pills.

Now if only Spike can be eliminated. Then they can go lounge in a hot tub together and I will never have to see either of them again.

I lean toward thinking that Lisa was not sabotaged (though I believe that she believed it) because as Dale pointed out, accidentally turning up the heat is an easy mistake to make -- especially if you're exhausted. Plus there were cameras all over the kitchen, so if anyone did mess with her rice, it would have been so likely to have been captured on tape and exposed.

I think the top three will be Stephanie, Dale, and Richard. They've been the most consistent so far, and have often won or placed well in individual challenges. I think Lisa is too inconsistent. I just don't want to see Spike in the top three so I'm willing him to flame out. Antonia (who's pretty funny now that they're giving her more screentime) could be a dark horse contender.

Looking forward to restaurant wars. It's going to be tough doing that with just three people per team-- don't they usually have four or five? Maybe they'll retrieve some eliminated contestants as sous-chefs.

Lisa's so grumpy too. God, shut up Lisa, no one cares about your rice. She and Spike should be the next ones to go.

God, I love Restaurant Wars.
