That the first three books in L. J. Smith's Night World series have been reprinted in an omnibus. That includes Secret Vampire and Spellbinder which I have not read, and Daughters of Darkness, which I adored. I bought it, so if anyone wants my copy of Daughters of Darkness (reviewed if you click the tag), speak up.

The shortest way I can describe L. J. Smith is that she's like Stephanie Meyer with a sense of humor, way less padding, generally more active heroines, more action, more plot, and actually kind of good if you're in touch with your teenage id, and God knows I am.

My copy of the omnibus has been sent, and I'm about to die of anticipation!

Secret Vampire is alright, Spellbinder (called 'Enchantress' in UK for some reason when it first came out) I can take or leave, and Daughters of Darkness was always a favourite.

I'm almost more excited about all of the new people who are going to read LJ Smith than the possible eventual release of Strange Fate.

Oh, I have allll the LJ Smith books already, but I am excited to see what new readers think of her! And I am pleased by your Stephenie Meyer comparison. She was totally my Stephenie Meyer, and seeing lots of girls spaz out about Stephenie Meyer reminds me of the giddy joy when the amazon.com (So exotic!) LJ Smith packages fiiinally came.
