My mother sent me some gorgeous photos she took of her neighborhood in semi-rural India. (Ahmednagar, two hours from Pune, Maharashtra.)





A Gul Mohur. They burst into bloom in summer.



Elephants are a rare sight in that state.

Wow, the tree is stunning. I love that shallow-dome habit, and the flowers are beautiful.

The reservoir might be worth getting up at sunrise for, and I do not say that lightly.
