Kirra the Indigenous Australian character who ~~feels the Songlines~~, the closest Spider Robinson came to researching Indigenous Australians having been reading Bruce Chatwin's colonialist travelogue on the subject. (I don't know for sure, but suspect he made her name up rather than choose a real name from... I forget where Kirra was supposed to be from, far north Queensland maybe? But really, if he'd called her Helen or Susan or Anna, any of those would have been perfectly believable.)
And the cover art was pretty special too, although not Spider Robinson's fault.
