Realistic manga about two young women named Nana trying to make it in Tokyo; one's a punk rocker, one's still looking for her place in life. There are boyfriends involved, and other friends and band members and the world's cutest groupie, but the real love story here is between Nana and Nana.

I continue to be enthralled by the intricacy of the relationships, touched by the emotion, impressed by the realism, and terrified by the increasingly ominous narration.

I love that Nana O. loves Nana K. so much. One rarely sees such an intense female friendship in fiction. I like that people wonder if it's sexual because it's so intense, but that it hasn't gone there (yet); not all intense feelings are about sex. And I love Ren for not being threatened and supporting Nana O.'s feelings for Nana K.

Takumi is evil. I hope he falls under a subway.

I assume Nana K. will either have a miscarriage or an abortion, because the series would completely change if she does have the baby.

Love the frank depiction of toilets, sex, birth control, complicated feelings, etc.

The narration is freaking me out. Either the Nanas have a terrible falling-out, or Nana K. dies. NOOOOOO!!!!!
