Tuesday's child is full of grace

Last night after my karate class I was showing D-- and one of the black belts the reverse roundhouse kick and kick combinations J-- had taught me. The black belt said that he used a similar combination but with a reverse back kick.

"So you do it like this...?" I said, trying to copy it.

I had never attempted a reverse back kick before, but it looked so cool that I tried it with enthusiasm. Both my feet left the ground and I fell on my ass with a loud thud.

D-- and the black belt were laughing so hysterically they almost fell down too.

It was not one of my more shining moments.
