I will post on books that I read while I was here when I come back, I think.

The weather suddenly turned cold when Jody arrived and apparently brought a bit of Canada with her. We spent most of yesterday curled up on the sofa watching TV with Oyce's three rats in our laps.

Heroes 1X11-- "Fallout." I may have to do an actual report on this later. I am amazed at how much this show has improved from its clunky beginning with groan-inducing dialogue and a number of boring charcaters. I now love virtually every one of the extremely large cast, the dialogue has gotten pretty good, and the pacing and storytelling is nothing short of terrific. The last episode was nothing but moments that, if even one had showed up in another show, would have been the centerpiece of an entire episode. I don't know if the writters can keep this up, but even if the whole thing came crashing down right now, they'd still have created something rather wonderful.

Spooks 2x01. OK, that surprised me. I did not expect that AT ALL. Also, Tom? Still Worst Spy Ever.

Princess Tutu end of first arc: I now love one of the supporting characters just as much as I love Ahiru. That last episode of the first arc was wonderful.

Supernatural (rewatch): I did not really convert Oyce, but it did amuse me to hear her spontaneously remark, "Oh, Dean.

La Femme Nikita (TV show): Serious cognitive dissonance may ensue if one attempts to watch this and Spooks on the same day. Though I am greatly entertained by the thought of a cross-over, especially since annoying emo Michael and a Serbian terrorist on Spooks had the same bad haircut. Also, after reading some grandly bad fic before ever seeing the show, I will now forever watch it with the thought of Michale and Nikita riding in a golf cart after the apocalypse.

Food: Delicious potato salad and peppermint hot chocolate, courtesy of Jody. Perhaps slightly overcooked pork chops with baked apples, courtesy of yours truly. Finished with Jody's Christmas cookies and Dad's VSOP cognac. I gave the rats one drop each. They enjoyed it. So did I. For perhaps the first time ever, Oyce woke up before I did.

DO NOT spoil anything in comments, please.
