I am going to spend the rest of the day helping a friend cook for twenty guests. I will try not to get as drunk as I did the last time. But if I do, I will be certain to post to LJ.

[livejournal.com profile] yhlee's 4-year-old daughter Ara aka "the lizard" just returned from a visit to her grandparents' place. I was thrilled to find that she had actually missed me, or at least was glad to see me. She expressed this by hurling herself into my lap and demanding that we watch Gundam Wing. I think I have conditioned her to associate me with Gundams. And cake.

I said, "If you were a Gundam pilot, which Gundam would you want?"

"The red one!" said the lizard decisively. "With the tail!"

"...Epyon?" I asked. Epyon, while powerful, has the unfortunate side effect of making its pilots eyes turn yellow and spin like pinwheel, after which they go insane and then fall out of the cokpit and land on their heads. "You want to pilot Epyon?!"

"No," replied the lizard. "I AM Epyon! Bwa-ha-ha!"

I hope that when she grows up, she is a good better evil overlord than our current one.

Yoon has adorable pictures of the lizard, herself, fishes, cats, me, Joe impersonating Evil!Heero, and Oyce's rats including the late and beloved Ruki.

Proof that the lizard and I have the same haircut! Though her hair is lighter than mine. Yoon thinks we look spookily as if we are related.

I foolishly began rolling around on the floor with her. I was a creature with very poor eyesight and seeing-eye radar feet, you had to have been there. Half an hour later, I was exhausted but the lizard had only warmed up. Oops.

I then painted her nails, a different color for each limb: red, silver, green, and blue. I think. She will wow the daycare!

She then "helped" us bake a cake, amazingly being actually helpful when she suggested we put blueberries in it, and then retrieved a hitherto-unknown package of blueberries from the fridge! It was quite good, rather like blueberry pancakes in cake form. Though I think the lizard sees all desserts as primarily vehicles for whipped cream.
