A couple friends of my parents have been stocking up on survival supplies for the apocalypse.

I would love to believe that the lack of an apocalypse would teach them a valuable lesson in not believing everything they read in Lemuria Weekly: Special Lizard-People Issue, but experience and history tells me that virtually no one over the age of 13 who seriously believes that an apocalypse would occur is dissuaded when it does not occur. They simply decide that the date was wrong, and move it up a couple years. This is why prophetic cult leaders can issue an unlimited number of bogus predictions without losing followers.

I expect absolutely nothing to happen tomorrow. That includes any major incidents involving people who believe that an apocalypse will happen. (There might be some minor incidents.) I do, however, have an interview downtown for a traineeship, so I might get caught in a traffic or parking apocalypse. I will bring my Kindle.

Do any of you know anyone who is seriously expecting the world to end tomorrow?
