If you haven't yet made your nominations, I note that Marjorie Liu's Dirk and Steele series, not to mention the Mahabharata and the Hong Kong movies So Close, Bride with White Hair, and Heroic Trio, have not as yet been nominated. I would offer all of those. Just saying.
Of the nominated list, I am especially excited to see Meredith Ann Pierce's gorgeous fantasy duology (I ignore the existence of the unnecessary and not good third book) The Darkangel (The Darkangel Trilogy)
, C. J. Cherryh's Rider at the Gate
, Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run
, Romance of Red Dust: Complete TV Series
, Icelandic sagas, mythology - Indian, RPF (Real People Fic) - Heian Japan, the complete works of L J Smith, and Enid Blyton's Malory Towers AND St. Clare's boarding school books (and also her Magic Faraway Tree, which I am a little scared by since I once read - not, I think, on Yuletide - a Wishing Chair/vacuum cleaner story).
