Oh, man, that sucks. I was actually expecting something like that because my previous disability experiences were godawful, but at least for me, "visible and presumed-temporary" makes a huge difference. I still can't get over how it's both the first time nobody's told me it was my fault when it's also the first time it really was my fault!
