As for the bookcases, my friend once ordered two and received one bookcase and . . . box 1 of 2 for a gazebo.
And when she complained, they agreed to send her the other bookcase, but didn't want the other thing back and suggested she could just go ahead and use it. Because. Y'know. Half a gazebo. Super useful.
