Wow. Amen to you and a big shut the hell up to Elizabeth Gilbert. I am hearing more and more lately that antidepressants are "overprescribed", and I think it's just absurd. Generally, when I pin people down (people I know/see, obviously not Ms. Gilbert), they're talking about people being put on antidepressants for reasons other than medical depression. You can quibble about those folks all you want; me and my major depressive disorder will keep taking our Effexor every day and thanking God for it.
