Of course her meretricious little effusion has sold a lot of copies. It doesn't tell people anything they don't know -- or anything they can't get from the average issue of Reader's Digest. Plus they get to feel superior to all those materialistic Americans -- after all, they're reading about India! And spirituality! And the real meaning of life!
