I may check Grumbles From the Grave to see if he mentions the Scribner's editor editing anything out here. Certainly he complained a lot about her, often with good reason (at least, as far as I can tell from hearing only his side of the story). Although there are the Red Planet and Podkayne edits to consider, too.
