From a purely analytical stance, this comment can be translated into "I personally know of more rapists than I can count." (Technically, some rapists may have raped more than one of the women you know - but then you may know women who have been raped more than once*.) I don't know whether 90% is a perfectly accurate figure either, but it sunndenly seems more likely with those words.
* I had a very hard time typing the part of that sentence after the dash - couldn't do it without tearing up. I'm sure it's true, but what a hell to live through.
