I like Kay's characters more - for me, they have a greater affect. Since one of the reasons I re-read books is to spend time with the characters, I'm more likely to (continue) re-reading Kay's books than this series.
However, that's in part due to particular characters of Abraham's, who aren't going to appear in anything else he writes. And I am mentally comparing this (basically) one work by Abraham with my favorite Kay books - I like this series more than The Last Light of the Sun or Ysabel or Ten Pounds of Archetypes in a Five-Pound BagThe Fionavar Tapestry. And maybe more than Under Heaven.
And of course Abraham has all this magic and technological change and whatnot. So I should probably stop comparing them this way. :)
