I just attempted to install Sims 2. It installed. But when I attempted to play, a bubble popped up saying my resolution wasn't optimized and I should click to get a better picture quality. I clicked. Then the screen went to that glowy black before it boots up and froze there. ESC didn't help, right and left clicking didn't help, waiting didn't help. I finally manually turned off the computer, then turned it back on. Now it seems that clicking that stupid bubble ruined my screen resolution, because everything is now fuzzy. Also, I got a message saying that my video driver has stopped working. Do you...

a) know how I can return the computer to the previous state of resolution? I have no idea what that was.

ETA: Never mind the resolution, I fixed that in the control panel.

b) suggest any methods for playing the game without wrecking my laptop? Or does this sound like I can't actually play it?
