I hate this new trend for female protagonists to basically settle down with their first crush.
Yeah, very unrealistic! Though a lot of books cover such a short time span that there's no way to know what happens after it ends, if everyone's still sixteen at that point.
I really like books that bring up the problems associated with relationships that don't fit the usual mold.
