I miss early-to-mid Dresden Dolls. They had a wild cabaret quality I don't think Palmer really has on her own so much.

I didn't follow her much past Who Killed Amanda Palmer (2008). I have a handful of her later songs—one of which is an intermittent earworm and another of which was stuck in my head earlier tonight—but I agree that I miss the Dresden Dolls. I actually love their last album, No, Virginia . . . (2008). I would have enjoyed seeing what they evolved into.
