I seem to have lost three very important items. In ascending order of importance:

My credit card (within the last two days; cancelled it and ordered a replacement)

My Fullmetal Alchemist CDs (apparently during moving, because I haven't seen them since, though I can't figure how I could have because I distinctly remember packing them, and nothing else seems lost in transit)

The notebook with all my notes for one of my manga series, Butterfly Kick. This is not only the worst loss, it's the most mysterious, because a few days ago I saw it on the living room table, picked it up to move it to the office so I could work on it... and poof, it's gone. I've just spent an hour searching the house and car, and it really does seem lost. The only thing I can think is that I might have somehow accidentally mixed it up with stuff I was throwing out, though that seems unlikely-- I never throw out notebooks without checking them carefully. But it sure doesn't seem to be in the house. Dammit. I can recreate all that stuff, more or less, but some will be lost for good and it will be a huge pain in the ass-- and very time-consuming, which is just what I don't need right now.

What this post really requires is for the Sanzo icon to be holding the gun to his own head.

*sends sympathy*

Try iconizing this (http://www.animevisions.net/Pictures/saiyuki/Saiyuki06.jpg).

Sympathetic "argh!". I hope you find the notes and CDs soon.

About a week ago I was trying to find one my FMA DVDs. I could not understand where it went. It was not in my car, not in my office, not in my to-view pile at home, and apparently not at my friends' places. It turned out I had already filed it at home with my *watched* DVDs.

I hope something similarly silly but ultimately innocuous is the case with you.

Weird.

I've recently lost stuff trhough picking it up to do someting with it, then putting it down before I get to whereever I'm going, and foregetting all about it. And managing to put it down somewhere that somehow conceals it - my phone vanished in the two seconds it took me to walk from the spot where I put my bag down to the thermostat and only diligent searching of places it couldn't possibly be turned it up, at the end of the dresser closest to the thermostat: a black phone placed on a very dark brown surface, partially concealed by a piece of paper.

* And I've lost the first Revolutionary Girl Utena OST CD. Arg. It's got a wider variety of places it could be, none of which are in Fort Worth (I lost it before I moved up here), and all of which are at my mother's house. Which means it's probably gone for good and I'll have to buy the damn thing again.

If the FMA CDs are the fansubs, I can make you new copies, so long as you don't mind them being AVIs and not converted to MPGs.

But the notebook! That's awful! I hope you find it.

They are the fansubs, but they're the first 25 of them, so I was planning to get the official releases anyway. If I can't find them for another few weeks, I may hit you up for 15-25 or so.
