On October 29 I will be 32. I say this now so that, should anyone be moved to write or draw or otherwise create me something as a birthday present, they will have time to do so.

I like original fiction. I like fanfiction. I like long juicy essays on topics that interest me. And I like drawings of hot men and tough women, optionally kissing each other (in any combination.) And I like vids.

Since most people seem to get inspired by guidelines, here are mine, bearing in mind that these are suggestions rather than rules:

My fandoms: Saiyuki, X/1999, Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Revolutionary Girl Utena, The Lymond Chronicles, Shakespeare, Fushigi Yuuugi, Modesty Blaise, the Mahabharata, Clover, Tsubasa, Trigun Georgette Heyer, and Jacobean and Elizabethan drama. And Naruto, as long as there's no spoilers for anything after volume 7.

Favorite characters and relationships: Hakkai, Hakkai/Gojyo, Karen Kasumi, Sorata/Arashi, Buffy, Faith, Buffy/Faith (not necessarily sexual), Wesley, Modesty and Willie (not Modesty/Willie), Kazuhiko, Utena/Anthy, Karna (like anyone's going to write me Mahabharata stories...)

Generally speaking, I seem to like men with dark hair, dark secrets, deep angst, and glasses, and women in complicated "shadow sister" relationships. Also, (this is for the artists) I like collarbones, bangs in the eyes, and men in uniform. And I like martial arts, swords, and "die for each other" friendship.

Weird hang-ups: I generally prefer R-rated more than X-rated, especially in pictures. I do not like non-canon incest (except for Simon and River, which I consider virtual canon) or non-consensual anything, though angst and mixed motives are always good. I do not like under-age anything, but by under-age I mean "under sexual maturity" not "under eighteen." I do not like Mal/Inara as a couple, or any slash pairing for Fullmetal Alchemist</i< except maybe Roy/Hughes in Ishbal, before Gracia came into the picture. Otherwise, I like het, gen, slash, femme slash, whatever. Gold rings, of course, are always a good gift. If you can let go of them, that is.
