Entertaining, cracktastic, and I have no idea what’s going on: ah, just like S1! (And Gundam Wing.)
I probably should have re-watched S1 before starting this, as I’m sure that added to the confusion. There seem to be at least three factions here: A1 (United Earth?) which includes Sergei, Soma, Louise (!!!)… and Ribbons…? Is Ribbons masterminding that one? Plus there are rebels, including Lockon’s twin/clone, soon to take on his twin/clone’s old code name. And Celestial Being, which still seems to be doing its own thing.
Was Shirin the princess’s assistant/plotting minister? Is she now a rebel? Who was she with?
Where is Allelujah, I wonder? And why did Tieria and Setsuna have no contact for four years?
The spider-like robots seem to be 00’s answer to mobile dolls. They are a lot scarier than mobile dolls.
The single biggest surprise was Louise the insane pilot! I would not have expected that in a million years. I am guessing from the pill-popping that she is an attempt at creating a pilot via drugs rather than genetic engineering. This never goes well. I am reminded of the rabid, head-spinning pilots in Gundam SEED.
Speaking of which, awww! Soma and Sergei! And Sergei has a son! I foresee tragedy.
The meeting of hysterical Saji and affectless Setsuna almost justified Saji’s existence in S1. Thank God there will be no more high school scenes.
In most shows, the most cracktastic moment would have been the reveal that Tieria’s new Gundam was improved by adding a head. (This puts Exia’s space cloak to shame.) But Graham stomping around in an evil-looking mask actually managed to top that.
Have we met Bring Stabbity yet? Does he actually exist, or was that a prank name?
I feel like this should have a "head" tag, but the head in question was neither disembodied nor in a jar. Still, it is never a bad time to quote one of my all-time favorite bad lyrics, from a group I generally like a lot, The Call:

Like he had two heads
