I took these photos a couple months ago, but forgot to post them. The first set are of the alpine landscape of an area just outside of Yosemite and at a higher elevation, only accessible by a quick boat ride across a very blue lake. The dog is Roxie, my parents' caretaker's dog, whom we borrowed because she's a hiking dog and likes snow.
The hummingbird photos were taken at my parents' place in Mariposa, near Yosemite. They have gotten so used to people that I took the photos from about a foot away. I was trying to get them to perch on my finger. Also, a dachshund race at a rodeo.
That was the "dachshund race" at the rodeo, inexplicably won by a non-dachshund ringer, possibly a labrador puppy.
