I totally loved "My Real Children" for most of the same reasons; two versions make an interesting book even if I feel there are probably infinite versions out there. I also thought Walton did a good job of balancing that both universes contained good things and bad things, even if the spread across one's personal happiness vs. the state of the world varied a fair bit.

This is really cool, it's like a month-long book club :D (only I'm not actually sure I've ever done a real-life book club with people who liked the same kinds of books I do)
