This focus on serial killers makes me wonder if it will be akin to the children of my generation being shocked we never encounter quicksand, as adults.

...now sadly, were we talking mass shooters, and not serial killers, I might agree with the sentiment.

Haha, that had never occurred to me, but it's true that as a child/young adult I was totally prepared to encounter quicksand and never questioned the importance of this life lesson!
