Oh my God, that is totally hell. And yet you know, I can sort of tell that you Marie Kondo'd your stuff a while ago even if I hadn't known already. There's an absence of random junk and a comparatively small ratio of chaos.
Of course, the chaos may just be concentrated in the cats.
I wish you the best of luck and a reservoir of calm. I'm sorry people are so stupid that you have to do this.
Alex has additionally been enjoying the people who periodically pop in to take a bookcase. If it wasn't for covid limiting their time spent to the absolute minimum, I'm sure he'd jump on their shoulders.
The last time we moved, my cats were like, "okay, so you've taken us to a new place that's bigger and filled with both sunshine and boxes??? WE LOVE IT, THANK YOU!!!!" (They still like this house but would appreciate more boxes. 2020 has been GREAT, so far as they're concerned: more time with the humans handy to pet them, fresh boxes arriving regularly.)
