Here is the tag set where you can see all the fandoms you can request. There's a huge variety!

Requestable fandoms that might be of particular interest include the Biggles and Worrals series by W. E. Johns, multiple intriguing side characters from Agatha Christie (under "Poirot" and "Miss Marple"), Revelator, Baahubali, multiple Octavia Butler works including "Bloodchild" and "Speech Sounds," the traditional ballads "John Barleycorn" and "Lady Isabel and the Elf Knight," Double Indemnity, Annihilation, Us, Nope, and "Top 5 Rat Movies I Made Up."

Not to mention historical fiction about Hildegard von Bingen (12th Century German Mystics RPF), Crazy Horse | Tȟašúŋke Witkó (The Great Sioux War of 1876-1877 RPF), Rabbi Yochanan ben Nappachah (Rabbinic and Talmudic Judaism RPF), Zelda Fitzgerald (Jazz Age Writer RPF), and Willow | Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom's Dog (British Royalty RPF).

What style of exchange do you prefer now?

Freeforms, or at least some kind of theme. Also the ability to match on shippiness. 😂 The themes thing is more as an author, I can go a little blank trying to come up with something not too offensive for someone who hasn't said much. And then as a recipient, at some point the possibility of getting my OTP as just bffs became a really big barrier for me.

Also Yuletide is so many people and it makes me nervous!

OTOH I request multiple smaller fandoms that are now in the tag set all year round with no luck, so I am currently considering that practical aspect, ha.

I feel more relaxed with Yuletide being huge because there's less weight on my stories in particular, ha.

I usually save Yuletide for my fandoms that I don't have shippy feelings about. Like, I'm saving Biggles for Chocolate Box.

Yeah, I think part of my problem is I don't have enough fandoms I both like enough to request and don't ship anything in these days. I might still take the chance if I can figure out how to word one of these requests, but hmm.

Chocolate Box is another one I tend to just watch wistfully from afar, lol.

Honestly, if I get a shippy request for Yuletide, 9 times out of 10 I'll write the ship. The 10th was very underage and I defaulted.

there are a couple times I've accidentally talked myself into shipping something by dutifully writing it to request for Yuletide! bug or feature ....
