I am looking for a recommendation for a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, ie, herbs, acupuncture, etc.

Does anyone either have a recommendation for one in Los Angeles, or else have a doctor they love in their non-LA area who might be able to recommend a colleague?

I go to Majid Ali (http://www.myherbguy.com/) for acupuncture. Haven't used his herbal services. He's a great great guy (and a kravver, so he sees a lot of us).

My UCLA pain management guy keeps trying to point me to their East-West Medicine (http://www.cewm.med.ucla.edu/), so that's an alternate place to look.

Thanks! Majid Ali sounds like he could be the person I'm looking for. Do you find the acupuncture painful, by the way? I've had some bad experiences, and have gotten to the point where I'd rather be punched in the face than get a bad needle stick.

Not painful at all. Either I feel nothing, or a pinch (not a pinch like the phlebotomists lie aboutsay, but an actual light pinch).

Be sure to mention that as part of the screening process!

Apparently Chuck went to an acupuncturist, whom he liked. I'll ask him for info.

TCM doctor in LA

Ching Liu
12114 Venice Blvd
310-591-8786

Ching is the brother of my friend Fong -- let him know that you were referred by one of Fong's friends, if you call. If he doesn't do what you need, I'm sure he knows someone who does. Hope this helps!
