I am not participating in Yuletide, but I do not find that this precludes running screaming down the street chased by bears.

Well, I personally am laughing at how the results for "am not participating" and "totally calm" are exactly the same (31/31 at the time of this comment).

After spending way too much time rereading the canon, I spent this entire week trying to come up with at least the skeleton of a plot. On Friday, I wrote a couple of hundred words; on Saturday, a couple of hundred more; and today I finally buckled down and finished the thing, and posted it approximately eight hours before deadline. Go me.

I am not crouching in wait for pinch-hits to pick up, trust me on that. But I'm still riding the wave of "I finished my Yuletide story!" euphoria.

I am proud to say that I turned in my fic a week+ ago, because I am preparing for an interstate move and a new job beginning in January and I knew I couldn't faff around unless I wanted to default 😵‍💫
