What's the best credit card in terms of accumulating frequent flyer miles which has no or a low annual fee and does not require excellent credit? (I don't have bad credit, but I don't have much of a credit history at all.)
When we were shopping around for a card we used LowerMyBills.com, I think. It gave reasonably helpful overviews of each card offer, including what kind of credit history you should have to apply. It doesn't look like their "opinions" are quite as frank these days, but it might be worth looking. The problem we ran into was that, having selected the *perfect* card we realized that, oops, the main carrier associated with the card (United) doesn't offer ANY direct flights from L.A. to Paris, which is the only place we fly, pretty much. So, that's something to take into consideration...
